New year. New recruiting strategy? New recruiting trends for 2016.
With the New Year there are some new recruiting trends that may be making waves – from workplace to the techniques. Below are a few of the top recruiting trends for this upcoming year:
- Recruiting trend for Recruiters: Employers will be looking for the ‘<a href="mailto:http://money.usnews project planning tools.com/money/careers/articles/2016-01-04/7-workplace-and-employment-trends-to-anticipate-in-2016″>perfect match’ in 2016, which is calling for recruiters to find them – whether they’re looking, or not. Finding the candidate with the quality skill set needed is the task being handed to recruiters and they will have more search functionality than ever at their hands to do so.
- Recruiting trend for Passive Candidates: While recruiters are being tasked with finding the perfect match – starting with the passive candidates may be where they start. These are the Millennials who may not necessary be looking for a new opportunity but they are open to the possibility. Working with recruiters to find these individuals may be key – they know where to look, such as any social media outlet they have put themselves on. Majority of these Millennials expect to be searched for and not the other way around.
- Flexibility: What could be more enticing to a potential employee than a flexible schedule? Allowing employees to work remotely occasionally or fulltime is an approach that many employers will leverage to attract the perfect match that may not be located next door but are unwilling to relocate.
- Recruiting trend for employers:
Employment Brand: We no longer live in a world that is ‘buyer beware’ but rather ‘sellers beware’. Potential employees have knowledge at their fingertips and they will find it – they will be researching your company just as much as you have researched them. Not only will they be looking at your website, their one-stop shop, but now have access to reviews from sites like Glassdoor. Ensure you’re portraying a cohesive and sound image and translate what your company stands for.
2016 could see more effective recruitment partnerships, supplementary workplace offerings and noticeably refined employee brands. Are you ready for the changes ahead?
